This design is intended for a growing family, comprising two children’s bedrooms with shared bathroom and a primary bedroom suite with double walk-in closets and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a large gathering room with fireplace, a full-size kitchen, and a serving/breakfast island. Note the small powder room tucked into the foyer, for guests. Numerous porches provide much-welcome outdoor living spaces, as well as large windows for light and air.
This design includes a basement, with stairs directly accessible from the central hallway. Dependent upon local ordinances and/or other conditions, a plan without a basement may be preferred (eg, central Florida). Provision has been made for this option, with furnace and water heater located on the first floor.
