I am writing a followup to my memoir of my life in northern Michigan:  "The Last Safari".
Which Historical Figure do you most identify with?
God is the greatest Designer, ever.  Nothing else compares with His handiwork, for all things cometh from
Him, and through Him all things are possible.  Without God, there would be no History.
Which Living Person do you most admire?
Valentino.
Who is your favourite Fictional Hero?
I have three, actually:  Griselda Craigie, Larry Darrell & Suzanne Rouvier.
Who are your Real-Life Heroes?
Isak Dinesen, Babe Paley & Sir Winston Churchill, not necessarily in that order.
What is your most treasured possession?
My talent, skill & knowledge, each of them a precious gift from God.
When & Where were you happiest?
When I finished this questionnaire & posted it successfully on my website!
What is your most obvious Characteristic?
My innate sense of what should be done in a room;  not what can be done, but what should be done.
What is the Trait you most deplore in yourself?
Never leaving well enough alone.
What is the Trait you most deplore in Others?
Stupidity, ignorance and the determination to remain so.
What is your greatest Extravagance?
Vintage Paul & Shark sweaters;  don't ask, I already have too many.
What is your Favourite Journey?
Driving into Michigan as the sun is rising over the horizon, when the sky is flushed with gold & pink light.
What do you dislike most about your Appearance?
I don't like my toes.  And my elbows could probably use some work, too.
What do you consider the most over-rated virtue?
Abstinence;  well, at least in my own peculiar circumstance.
On what occasion do you lie?
I try very hard not to do so.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nothing;  I like myself just the way God made me!
What do you consider to be your greatest Achievement?
Writing, and publishing, my very first book "Aftermath:  The Poems For Jane".
Where would you like to Live?
Paris in the spring, Charlevoix in the summer, San Francisco in the autumn, Deer Valley in the winter.
What is the Quality you most admire in a Man?
Intelligence, sensitivity and wit.
What is the Quality you most admire in a Woman?
Beauty, charm and grace.
What is it you most dislike?
Ignorance.
What do you value most in your Friends?
Their unswerving loyalty.
How would you like to Die?
In my sleep and in my bed.
If you were to die & come back as a person or animal, what do you think it would be?
I can only hope to come back as Mr Kitty;  however, I should be quite delighted as Catherine Deneuve.
If you could choose an Object to come back as, what would it be?
Either a Cartier wristwatch, or a small, very beautiful Baccarat vase.
